Touch, mouse or keyboard, with 2× speed and locally saved progress.

Upload, configure and play

The game runs from a static web host. Upload the contents of the game folder and start playing. No Node.js, build step or database is needed to run it.

  • Personal bests and progress are stored on the player's device by default.
  • An optional PHP leaderboard can be turned on in ricopop.config.js. It needs PHP 7.4+ and a writable folder. Scores are sent by the browser, so it is a casual leaderboard, not a server-verified competitive ranking.
  • Ads are off by default. Optional Google AdSense, custom-adapter and demo settings are documented; live ads need your own eligible account.
  • The same file can hide the leaderboard button and skip the opening "Tap to start" screen.

What you receive

  • Complete HTML5 game with editable JavaScript, HTML, CSS and the bundled game assets.
  • Optional PHP leaderboard and ad-provider configuration.
  • English and Portuguese documentation with setup steps, a visual guide, customisation and FAQ.
  • Optional developer tools: local server, level checker and tests. They need Node.js 20+; the game itself does not.

This is the browser-game package. Native Android/iOS builds, store publication, ad network accounts and game-portal SDK integrations are not included.

Questions

Do I need a server or database?

No. Upload the contents of the game/ folder to any static web host and open the address. Progress and personal bests are saved in the player's browser. PHP is only needed if you turn on the optional leaderboard, and it stores scores in a file, not a database.

Can I edit the levels?

Yes. The 50 levels are text maps in src/levels.js, and there is no build step: edit, upload and refresh. The optional tool node tools/validate.mjs checks that every level can still be won and can find a new solution after you change a map.

Is the narrator voiced in all 14 languages?

No. The 14 languages cover the interface and level hints. The narrator speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish; in the other 11 languages the text is translated and the narrator speaks English.
