Things that start with every letter, A to Z
Stuck on Q under Object? Polarzinho looked around the whole house and wrote the A to Z cheat sheet.

Object sounds like the easiest category in Stop. Just look around, right? Then the letter Q comes up, you look around and all you see is a table, a chair and a panicking panda in the mirror. So I wrote this cheat sheet of things that start with every letter, A to Z.
For each letter, the everyday things come first (no arguments), followed by less obvious ones for when you want a unique answer. For the hard letters I only listed things that really exist.
How to use this list in Stop
Object is one of the classic categories of the categories word game, and in Polar Games’ online Stop it comes in the Classic theme. You can also build your own category list.
Stop! only draws letters that have known answers in the round’s categories, and a letter never repeats in the same match. Learn two things per letter: an obvious one and an unusual one, because a unique answer scores more than a repeated one.

A real round

PolarzinhoThe bottle was literally on my desk. That is how you play Object: look around before you panic.
Does anything count? The classic scoring arguments
Do furniture and appliances count as objects?
Under the most common rule, yes: sofa, fridge and oven are objects. What usually gets rejected is something you can’t pick up or use, like a cloud or a mountain.
Does clothing count?
It depends on your group. Many accept it, but if the round also has a Clothing category, don’t double up.
Do brand names count?
No. Write the thing, not the brand.
Frequently asked questions
What things start with Q?
Quilt, quill and quarter, the coin.
What things start with O?
Oven, oar, ornament and overalls.
What things start with U?
Umbrella, ukulele and uniform.
What things start with X?
Xylophone is the classic answer.

Open Stop!, invite your friends (or the bots, who never argue about whether a sofa is an object) and put the list to work. The fruits, animals and colors A to Z lists are on the blog too.
