Fruits that start with every letter, A to Z, for Stop
Your letter is E and the Fruit box is empty? Polarzinho put together a cheat sheet from A to Z, hard letters and scoring arguments included.

Every round of Stop has that one second of panic: the letter shows up, you look at the Fruit column, and your brain offers exactly one word, "banana". Great if the letter is B. Less great if it is X. This is my cheat sheet of fruits that start with every letter, A to Z, so that box never stays blank again.
I'm Polarzinho, and for each letter I put the well-known fruits first (the ones nobody argues about) and a few less common ones after them, for when you want an answer nobody else wrote. For the truly hard letters I'll be honest about how few options there are, and how to get out alive.
How to use this fruit list in Stop
Fruit is one of the classic categories of the categories word game, next to Name, Animal, Color and Country. In Polar Games' online Stop you can play a ready-made theme or build your own list and add Fruit to it.
Two of the game's rules make studying easier: Stop! only draws letters that have known answers in the round's categories, and a letter never repeats in the same match. Once a letter has come up, you can forget about it until the next game.

A real round

PolarzinhoGuava is the hero of this game: it works under Fruit, it works under Food, and it still comforts you when you lose.
Is a tomato a fruit? The classic scoring arguments
For botanists, a fruit is the part of a plant that grows from the flower and holds the seeds. In the kitchen, a fruit is the sweet thing in the dessert. Every argument in this game lives between those two definitions.
Is a tomato a fruit?
Botanically, yes. In cooking, it is treated as a vegetable. In Stop, decide before you start: if your group goes with botany, Tomato saves the letter T.
Are eggplant, zucchini and peppers fruits?
Botanically, yes, for the same reason as the tomato. At the table, the rule your group agreed on wins.
Is a coconut a fruit?
Yes. It is the fruit of the coconut palm, and nobody complains about it on the letter C.
Frequently asked questions
What fruit starts with X?
Very few do. Ximenia, a wild plum, is the usual answer, but it is rare enough that you should agree on it before playing.
What fruit starts with E?
Elderberry is the easiest one. Eggplant also counts if your group accepts botanical fruits.
What fruit starts with V?
Velvet apple or Valencia orange.
What fruit starts with U?
Ugli fruit, a Jamaican citrus, or ume, the Japanese apricot.
Try it
Open Stop!, add Fruit to your category list and invite your friends (or the bots, who at least never argue about tomatoes). For the other columns I wrote 60 ideas in my Stop categories guide, and the full rules are in the how to play guide.
