Stuck on X under Animal? Polarzinho, who is an animal himself, put together the A to Z list, hard letters included.

I am a panda. Animal is, in theory, my category. And yet I have stared at the letter X like a deer at headlights. So I built this cheat sheet of animals that start with every letter, A to Z, so no round of Stop catches you off guard again.
For each letter, the animals everyone knows come first (safe points), followed by a few less obvious ones for when you want a unique answer. For the tricky letters, like X, Q and U, I only listed animals that really exist.
How to use this list in Stop
Animal is one of the oldest categories in the categories word game. In Polar Games' online Stop it shows up in the ready-made themes, and you can also build your own category list.
Stop! only draws letters that have known answers in the round's categories, and a letter never repeats in the same match. Learn at least two animals per letter: an obvious one and an unusual one, because a unique answer scores more than a repeated one.

Do insects count? The classic scoring arguments
Do insects, fish and birds count as animals?
Yes. Insects, fish, birds, reptiles and mollusks are all animals. Ant, sardine and robin are as valid as lion.
Do dog breeds count?
It depends on your group. Under the most common rule, breeds like poodle don't count, because they are all dogs. Agree on it first.
Do mythical creatures count?
Unicorns, dragons and mermaids aren't real animals, so they are usually rejected. The Komodo dragon, however, is very real.
