Play the riff. Own the stage.
This is an HTML5 rock rhythm game template with full TypeScript source code. Riffvolt is a four-lane game for the browser: players hit notes in time, hold long notes, bend them with the whammy and fire up overdrive. 12 full tracks, 48 note charts, four difficulties and a four-venue tour are already built in, and the game folder is ready to upload to your own host.

12 tracks, four charts each
Every track has Easy, Normal and Hard charts, plus Rock God, which opens once the tour is finished. That is 48 note charts in total, from Basement Static to the title track Riffvolt. The song catalogue is a single manifest file, with each song's duration, BPM and chart paths.

From the garage to the arena
The tour runs through four venues: Garage, The road, Festival and Arena. Each has three songs; stars from the first two open the encore, and finishing the encore opens the next venue. Story scenes and cosmetic rewards, such as trails and frames, mark the way.

Catch the note
Tap notes on four lanes, hold long notes to the end and bend them with the whammy while you hold. Timing accuracy builds your score and combo. Fill the ROCK gauge and overdrive starts on its own: a light show that adds no points and ends on any miss.

Keyboard, touch and gamepad
Play with D, F, J and K by default, tap the lanes on a touch screen or plug in a gamepad. Key bindings and gamepad controls are in Settings. Free play opens any song at any difficulty, and personal records are saved song by song in the browser.

Calibration and comfort options
A built-in calibration sets the audio offset, which helps with Bluetooth headphones. Reduced motion and a photosensitive mode tone down flashes and lightning. The interface is in 14 languages.

A smooth start for your project
Upload the contents of the game folder to an HTTP(S) host, keeping the relative paths, and open its address: no PHP, no database, no account. Serve it over HTTP(S) rather than opening index.html from disk. The illustrated English and Portuguese manuals cover installation, controls, the file map, adding songs, local saves, dependencies and troubleshooting.
Who this template is for
Portal and site owners who want a music game in their catalogue, studios delivering a branded game to a client, and developers who want a readable TypeScript project with Canvas 2D and Web Audio to learn from. One licence covers one end product, yours or one client's.
Customise it
To add a song, put the audio in the audio folder, add one chart per supported difficulty to the charts folder and register the song in the manifest; a chart validator helps check the file, and you confirm sync by playing the full track. Judging, scoring and combo rules, tour progress, interface text and styling each have their own file. A chart editor is not included.

Licence and support in short
A perpetual, non-exclusive licence for one end product. Players can access it free of charge or through advertising monetisation. Six months of support are included, or 12 months with the extension; support covers installing and using the files and fixing reproducible defects. Customisation, hosting and SDK or portal integration are separate services, quoted first.
