Sports that start with every letter, A to Z

Stuck on Q under Sport? Polarzinho, a professional couch athlete, wrote the A to Z cheat sheet, from the Olympics to the backyard.

I practice the hardest sport of all: sitting down and eating bamboo. Still, the Sport column in Stop gets me every time a letter like Q or Y comes up. So I wrote this cheat sheet of sports that start with every letter, A to Z.

For each letter, the sports everyone knows come first, followed by Olympic events, martial arts and backyard games, which are often unique answers.

How to use this list in Stop

Sport is one of the categories Polar Games’ online Stop already knows. On the room setup screen you pick a ready-made theme or build your own category list.

Stop! only draws letters that have known answers in the round’s categories, and a letter never repeats in the same match. Martial arts and water sports are often unique answers.

In most groups, yes: both have federations and championships. Some groups still reject them. Agree on it first.

Do backyard games count?

Tag and dodgeball split the table. If your group is strict, stick to competitive sports.
