Tenguin Number Match: pair it, make ten.
Tenguin Number Match is an HTML5 number puzzle game template with full source code. Players clear a board of number tiles by pairing equal numbers or two that add up to ten, while Tenguin the penguin teaches the rules, cheers them on and travels with them across a map of illustrated islands. It includes a daily challenge, Relax mode, outfits to unlock, 14 interface languages and a ready-to-host game folder.

Simple rules: pair equal numbers or make ten
Tap one tile, then another. The pair clears when the numbers are equal or add up to ten, whether the tiles sit above or below each other, on a diagonal, with cleared spaces between them, or across the end of one row and the start of the next. Clear a whole row for an Avalanche and keep a streak going for a higher multiplier. Out of pairs? Snowfall copies the numbers left on the board to the bottom. Each level awards up to three stars.

Make Tenguin your own
Outfits come in four categories: scarves, hats, colours and effects. Players buy them with coins earned in the game, and some levels unlock a new outfit. No real money is involved.

Explore ten island themes
Levels run along an island map with ten illustrated island themes and chapter chests. After the tenth theme, progress continues with generated levels and reused themes; new themes need matching artwork and map positions in the source edition.

Boosters, daily challenge and Relax mode
Five boosters add variety: Hint, Undo (from level 3), Snowfall, Peck, which removes a tile (level 8), and Wild, a flake that pairs with any number (level 12). Coin prices and rewards are defaults you can edit. A daily challenge uses today's date, daily missions give players a reason to return, and Relax mode has no stars, no rush and unlimited Snowfall.

Customise it
Most settings live in one text file, tenguin.config.js, next to index.html: title, logo path, accent colour, default language, starting coins, win, star and Relax rewards, booster prices and outfit prices. Edit a value, upload the file and reload; no build is needed. Changes to level layouts, dialogue, artwork inside the game or new voice clips need the source edition. Keep the save key unchanged on a live site, or players lose their progress.
Technical details at a glance
- Stack: TypeScript, JavaScript and HTML5, with Vite for the source build.
- Files: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, TypeScript, WebP, PNG and MP3.
- Languages: 14 interface languages, with recorded voices in three of them.
- Requirements: a current browser with JavaScript and audio, and static HTTP(S) hosting, in a subfolder if you like. No PHP or database; file:// is not supported.
- Saves: the browser's local storage, with no sync between devices. The daily challenge, missions and chests use the device clock, so do not use local records for prizes.
- Node.js 22.13+ is needed only for the optional source build.
Licence and support in short
One purchase gives you a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use this edition in one end product, yours or one client's. Players can access it free of charge or through advertising monetisation. You can change the code, art and audio inside your product, but you cannot resell or redistribute the template on its own. Six months of support are included (12 with the extension at checkout) and cover installing and using the files and fixing reproducible defects.
