Aurora Words: a world of words.
Aurora Words is a cozy HTML5 word search game template with full source code. Players slide across the grid to find the hidden words of a theme: they hide across, down, backwards and on diagonals, and every find is celebrated with glowing marks, flying words, a combo and gentle sound. It runs on phone, tablet and desktop from any static web hosting.

Ten languages, each with its own word lists
English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Turkish and Indonesian. The interface and the words change together: every language has 35 themes with at least 30 word entries per theme, more than 1,000 entries per language. Words keep their accents on screen and hide in the grid without them, and the game starts in the player's browser language.
35 themes, a campaign and a daily puzzle
Quick Play picks a random theme, or players choose any of the 35 themes, from Animals and Ocean to Space, Kitchen, Pirates and Halloween, each with its own picture. A 15-level campaign adds backwards words, then diagonals, then a single hint. The daily puzzle is the same for everyone in the same language and keeps a day streak.

Points, combos and stars
Every letter scores, diagonal and backwards words earn a bonus, and a combo grows while the player keeps finding words. Stars reward a clean round, and the best score of each theme, level and day is saved on the device. Every round can always be finished: hints are offered when a player is stuck.
Relaxing by design
Calm music, a soft narrator in English, Portuguese and Spanish (other languages use the English voice with localized captions), a guided tutorial, keyboard play, screen reader announcements and a Calm mode that reduces motion. Music, effects and voice have separate volume controls.
Your game, your hosting
Upload the contents of the game folder to static HTTP(S) hosting. No PHP, database, account or Node.js is needed on the server, and the game makes no requests to ranking, advertising, tracking or payment services. Artwork, audio and fonts are all local.

What this edition does not include
Native apps, hosting and custom development are not included, nor are cloud saves, an online ranking, real-money purchases or an advertising SDK.
Who this template is for
Site and portal owners who want a calm, family-friendly word game, schools and language projects that need word lists in several languages, freelancers and studios building a branded game for a client, and developers who want to learn from readable TypeScript with unit tests.
Customise it
Word lists are plain JSON, one set per language: change words, add themes or add a language. The settings file aurora.config.js sets the starting language, the daily puzzle, the combo time and the saved-progress name with no rebuild. The source is readable, unminified TypeScript with unit tests; rebuild with npm ci, npm test and npm run build after editing it.
